Plenty of reveals abound at Day 1 of Sony's PlayStation Experience.

Sony's PlayStation Experience saw major reveals on upcoming games. The event kicked off a day after the 2014 Video Game Awards, which practically served as a tease to what Sony has to offer in 2015.

The PlayStation Experience keynote resolved questions surrounding several titles, particularly Uncharted 4 and Street Fighter V. There were also freebies to grab at the PlayStation Network, and it's only Day 1 into a weekend of reveals.

The much-anticipated update to Uncharted 4 finally made its way to press yesterday. Fifteen minutes of live gameplay showcased new combat and traverse options, more expansive environments, and diverse routes; it's a whole new game with Troy Baker stepping in as Nathan Drake's older brother. Uncharted 4: a Thief's End is a confirmed 2015 launch.

Two Street Fighter games are coming to the PlayStation 4. Ultra Street Fighter IV is an upgrade to SF IV, with five new characters and six new stages added to expand the game. Playtime is also extended with added original game modes, and re-tweaked dynamics.

The big confirmation is with Street Fighter V, though. The title's exclusive release for the PlayStation 4 and PC was announced at Sony's PlayStation Experience. It's unlikely the title will ever see port on the Xbox, since Capcom is collaborating with Sony in the development.

As a side perk, Electronic Arts has three freebie offers, currently available at the PlayStation Network. The treat supports three PlayStation platforms and is available to download for free: Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the PlayStation Vita, Mirror's Edge for the PlayStation 3, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for the PlayStation 4.

The PlayStation Experience showed solid support for Sony's gaming platforms, and it even previewed a re-release of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 4. The game won't be an HD remake, though; the FFIIV piggybacks on nostalgia and launches with the same graphical quality of the original. Check out further details on yesterday's event, in this IGN report.
