Kristen Stewart in "Still Alice" trailer; is this her ticket to the Academy Awards?

The "Twilight" star could be poised to be Julianne Moore's wingman at the Oscars; the latter stars with Kristen Stewart in "Still Alice" trailer, just released.

The movie is scheduled for a January 16, 2015 release date, and with the Oscar season up, lead actor Julianne Moore's performance is up for votes for best female category. The movie follows the life of her character through the onset and progress of early Alzheimer's disease.

The movie is going through its week-long qualifying run in L.A., in a bid for Oscar nominations. Moore and Stewart co-stars with Alec Baldwin and Kate Bosworth, among others. "Still Alice" is directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland.

The trailer clip features Moore's character with daughter Kristen Stewart, grappling at what it feels like to lose hold of reality, one memory at a time (variety.com).

"I have good days and bad days. On my good days, I almost pass for a normal person, but on my bad days I feel like I can't find myself. I can see the words hanging in front of me and I can't reach them and I don't know who I am, and I don't know what I'm gonna lose next."

Kristen Stewart in "Still Alice" trailer complemented Julianne Moore's character, and in an interview with Indiewire, comments on how working with the "Boogie Nights" actor affected her, personally.

"I also knew I could do it with Julie [Julianne] because I've known her for a couple years. I knew I could be her kid. I just knew that everything was going to be honest and right. We weren't making anything up, so it would be heavy.

Everyone always asks, 'How did this movie change you? What did it give you?' And it gives you in the most basic sense a fundamental perspective. You want to go home and call your mom, or you want to stop being so petty. It gives you this massive jug of perspective."

"Still Alice" has Julianne Moore in the running for a best female lead in the upcoming Academy Awards, to be confirmed.
