More women come forward with abuse allegations, in the latest Bill Cosby news update.
More allegations of abuse in the latest Bill Cosby news update: another woman comes forward involving the comedian in sexual abuse. The new complaint jumpstarts a formal police investigation on the case.
Sources to the Daily Mail report more women are involved and are coming forward with complaints, with a handful within grounds of the statute of limitations.
Mr. Kuvin is a Florida attorney and one of the sources named by the report, quoted as saying, "I have sat down with my client and have a full understanding of the issues involved and what has occurred. The police will be doing additional investigative work which will include things like issuing search warrants."
Among those who recently stepped forward is 24 year-old model Chloe Goins, set to talk with the Los Angeles Police Department. Goins claims Cosby laced her drink and assaulted her in a 2008 incident, at the Playboy Mansion.
Kuving comments on Goins' complaint: "I have had lengthy communications with the Los Angeles Police Department and there is now a definitive open investigation which is ongoing for, it's my understanding, not only with Chloe's case but other unnamed victims who have yet to be revealed publicly.
They want to get all their information first before sitting down and having an interview with Chloe about her incident. This is scheduled to happen early in the new year."
Playboy's Hugh Hefner is Cosby's long-time friend, and has previously spoken about the allegations. Hefner's comment on Cosby's dilemma is guarded, but insists the comedian remains his good friend.
"Bill Cosby has been a good friend for many years and the mere thought of these allegations is truly saddening. I would never tolerate this kind of behavior, regardless of who was involved."
