Queen Elizabeth Christmas News Update: Could This Be Her Majesty's Last Christmas? She's In Charge Of Decorating The Tree, Speech Honors Ebola Medics.

Queen Elizabeth Christmas News Update. In a pre-recorded message to her loyal subjects, Queen Elizabeth Christmas News Update underscored tributes to the ceramic poppy to WWI casualties along with those battling the Ebola virus.

BBC News reported that the Queen, 88, will discuss the Tower of London's poppy installation and how it is "a reminder of the grief of loved ones left behind." She was also touched by those who helped victims infected with Ebola. The Queen's message is scheduled for broadcast at 15:00 GMT on radio and TV. This is the first time that Her Majesty has written her own speech to the people of the Commonwealth Nations.

Talking about UK's contributions to combat the war with the deadly Ebola in West Africa, the Queen said in the BBC report, "I have been deeply touched this year by the selflessness of aid workers and medical volunteers who have gone abroad to help victims of conflict or of diseases like Ebola, often at great personal risk."

The Queen left for her planned Christmas festivities on public transport last week by taking a train to Sandringham, where she hosted a Christmas Party for the Royals only, say reports. The Queen and her troop paid the normal standard fare of 53.60 pounds for first class. Passengers were surprised to see the Queen on board a scheduled train.

One passenger said: "I didn't know she was on the train until I got off and saw her walking beside me. It was wonderful."

Her Majesty was taken to Sandringham House, where she will be joined by thirty or so guests. Prince William and Kate Middleton will host the Queen this year while the Queen will supervise preparations for Christmas over the next few days, including choosing and decorating a Christmas tree from her own sawmills on the 24,000-acre estate. The personal touch from the Queen Mother could be a sign that she wants to go out with a bang since it could be her last Christmas with her Royal family?
