Emily Blunt in "Frozen 2"? The "Edge of Tomorrow" is surfing the wave of acclaim in the wake of "Into the Woods," and is now rumored to play a part in Disney's sequel.

Emily Blunt was game for questions about her future in the Disney Universe, and she had good reason to do so. The recent acclaim for "Into the Woods" rubbed on her, earning her a Golden Globe nomination to boot. Emily Blunt in "Frozen 2," as a lead character looks promising.

Blunt played The Baker's Wife in "Into the Woods," proving she has the vocal prowess to carry her own weight in a musical. She's in with Disney Studios so to speak, with a successful musical to her credit. CinemaBlend lobbied a question in an interview, on whether she's being considered for a role in "Frozen 2."

"Frozen 2" remains a planned project, but one with enough backing of fans to be realized. Blunt commented on the prospect of being part of the cast:

"No, no! That [series] is for my friend Kristen Bell, who just CRUSHED it, and I am so happy for her. So no. I don't know. There's just never going to be another Elsa and an Anna. There's just can't."

Blunt won't hijack the lead roles, but is willing to take on a new character, in case Disney decides to cook up one.

"Wouldn't that be great? Who knows? She could be obsessed with flowers, or something..." (cinemablend.com)

Blunt previously confessed the "Into the Woods" ensemble's table reading was a disaster, but they've managed to pull through with stellar performances just the same.

"The first time we did the prologue, our musical director, this wonderful man named Paul Gemignani, who is this huge guy who always wears these big '70s glasses, turned to us and said, 'Well, that was a disaster!' [Laughs] He thought that was just awful. But we got better!"
