"Guardians Of The Galaxy" star Chris Pratt rose from his role in "Parks And Recreation" into a Hollywood superstar that earned the admiration of people around the world.
USA Today called him the "movie star of the year" thanks to the surprisingly successful Marvel film, "Guardians Of The Galaxy." The animated film "The Lego Movie" also received nominations from various award giving bodies aside from earning almost $300 million.
According to the news website, however, the Internet's new darling "remains pretty much the nicest, most humble and coolest guy in Hollywood."
His secret, according to USA Today, is to never take anything for granted.
"You break your heart when your expectations are not met,'' he reportedly told the site."I'm in these movies. But there's no guarantee that anyone will go see these movies. They can make zero dollars total."
"Guardians Of The Galaxy" star Chris Pratt added, "It's not hard to lower expectations. It's all about keeping your eyes on the prize and doing good work."
It's not only his career that's doing great. The 35-year-old, who trimmed down considerably this year, is happily married to actress Anna Faris.
However, amongst every success he experienced in the past months (including his impressive abs), he's admittedly most proud of his son, Jack.
Born prematurely two years ago, the "Jurassic World" star and his wife never gave up fighting for their little boy to live. Pratt said he "prayed that he'd be here long enough and he was going to let me keep him."
"I've done all kinds of cool stuff as an actor," the father of one shared during a March of Dimes Celebration of Babies Hollywood Luncheon early this December via US Magazine. "I've gotten to jump out of helicopters and do daring stunts and play baseball in a professional stadium, but none of them mean anything compared to being somebody's daddy."
From starring in a comedy TV series to earning $1.2 billion from his very successful movies, 2014 is definite "Guardians Of The Galaxy" star Chris Pratt's year.
