Marvel just released a tease for the "Ant Man" movie trailer, and it's literally ant-sized. The full trailer is scheduled to launch Tuesday January 6, during the "Agent Carter" TV premiere, but for those who just can't wait and are willing to squint, Marvel offers a small glimpse of what next week brings.

The new "Ant Man" movie trailer is literally miniature in scale; the images have enough pixel count to flesh out the details, though. It's a novelty at the least, and should keep rabid fans at bay for the meantime. It's hard to make out faces on the tease, but it's still worth checking out just the same.

There's at least the official synopsis to consider, and it's a good description of how the plot will pan out:

"The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios' 'Ant-Man.'

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

The "Ant Man" movie trailer is expected to give a sneak peek into Hank Pym joining the Marvel cinematic universe, played by Michael Douglas; the film also stars Paul Rudd in the titular role, with "Lost" star Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne.

Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip "Ti" Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo also join the cast (slashfilm.com).
