Final Fantasy XV Online Features Hinted With Square Enix Job Placement Presentation; In Need Of Developers, Rendering, Also To Milk The Consoles’ Capabilities; FFXV Online Spinoff Also In The Works

Final Fantasy XV online features were apparently leaked by Square Enix's official career opportunities presentation; the source hints as far as a connectivity feature in the game, though, instead of a full-fledged online mode. Among the many prerequisites for the Square Enix's career opportunity, the phrase "game contents using the Network" stood out the most.

Dual Shockers reported the news; Final Fantasy XV's online features could be the latest addition to its gameplay, and with a release date yet to be announced, is entirely doable. A recent ad for a Final Fantasy XV spinoff was announced, but the new online feature is apparently part of Final Fantasy XV itself.

The details of Square Enix's job description don't hint of a full-on online multiplayer mode for the game, though. At the very least, gameplay is enhanced with connectivity features, still to be identified.

Square Enix is also outsourcing part of its rendering tasks to those who qualify for the position.

"In addition to that, we hear about the production of 'high-end monsters,' and pre-rendered CG cutscenes. This seems to indicate that Square Enix might not be going the in-engine route for at least some cutscenes, which is understandable considering the studio's mastery with CG."

Looking for a System Programmer position, Square Enix is looking for skills that can optimize "the game via multi-threading, file I/O, memory and streamlining," which intends to milk the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One's juices down to the last drop.

The job search also comes with the need for a game designer with relatively less to no experience; just self-motivation. Projects as big as Final Fantasy XV seldom hire entry-level developers, so this is arare exception.

The Final Fantasy XV demo is confirmed to release with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. New character Cidney was confirmed in a trailer, in this December Gamespot report.
