Heads up Easter Egg hunters: it's confirmed Stan Lee's next cameo is on the new ABC show "Agent Carter." Marvel's beloved creator debuts with a cameo early on in the show, sharing the spotlight with a character with a big ego: Howard Stark.

Stan Lee cameos have become the staple of the Marvel franchise, with appearances both brief and with speaking parts. Walk-ins were usually unannounced, keeping fan boys peeled in theaters lest risk missing that brief moment. Stan Lee's cameo on "Agent Carter" is confirmed, though, and he's going to share a scene with Howard Stark.

Variety reports Stan Lee will debut in the January 27 episode of the show, "The Blitzkrieg Button," as a man who has a brief encounter with Stark (played by Dominic Cooper). Stan Lee's most recent TV cameo was last year, in a "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode.

Stan Lee's recent film credits include "Big Hero 6" as Fred's father, and as the playboy in a "Guardians of the Galaxy" scene. Lee's appearances were generally welcomed by the audience, especially Marvel fans, though some considered the cameos a distraction which defeats the story.

It appears the Spiderman creator has no qualms spoiling his cameos; Lee previously tweeted his brief appearance on "Avengers: Age of Ultron" would be among his favorites. His involvement in scenes is a Marvel tradition which are both amusing and memorable.

".@guy_hulk @More2History It's in the new @Marvel @Avengers film which you can see next year. It's very funny--- worth waiting for," Lee replied in a September 2014 tweet (screenrant.com).

Stan Lee cameos are in the double digits and counting; among the more memorable appearances are his brief conversation with Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) in "Spiderman 3," and showing up in the middle of the desert with a truck to haul away the Mjolnir.

Here's a rundown of Stan Lee cameos (not exhaustive), for your viewing pleasure:
