Captain America with Kristen Stewart? The "Twilight" lead reportedly wants to be part of the vast Marvel Comics Universe, in a superhero role or something like it.
It may be a farfetched stretch to realize the plot of Captain America with Kristen Stewart in it, but the actor is very willing to be part of a Marvel Movie, with the First Avenger in particular. So, is there hope for her in a role in "Captain America 3: Civil War"?
Marvel is full of surprises, and has proven itself a solid franchise with an A-list ensemble of actors in its pool of superheroes. Kristen Stewart recently talked about the possibility to be part of that in an interview with Yahoo Movies.
Stewart's recent film credits are considerably low-key and independent, especially when compared to blockbuster hits "The Twilight Saga" and "Snow White and the Huntsman." When asked if that's her career's current trend, Stewart said she just wants to keep things unpredictable.
"I love watching those movies." Stewart referred to Marvel and DC film adaptations, and she continued by saying she wants to be part of one.
"I would love to show people that I can do more than just be 'Kristen Stewart' in a different movie, in a different circumstance."
Her role in "Snow White and the Huntsman" somewhat bumped her cred as a "superhero," which could be validated in a Marvel or DC movie.
Kristen Stewart recently starred in "Camp X-Ray," "Clouds of Sils Maria," and "Still Alice," where she co-starred with Julianne Moore.
She dropped the intent to join the superhero bandwagon as part of Captain America: "I'm sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean?... It would just have to be the right thing."
Will fans receive her well as another addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? As part of the Justice League? Will Captain America with Kristen Stewart take off? With a projected timeline extended to 2020 for Marvel and DC movies, anything is likely.
