Good news Marvel fans as new cast members for the next X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse have been revealed.
X-Men director Bryan Singer added three new cast members in the movie that would play the young mutant heroes Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse, and these are Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones, Ty Sheridan of Mud, and Alexandra Shipp of Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B.
The announcement became official when Bryan Singer tweeted about it on his personal Twitter account.
Screenrant has reported that all three actors have gone through screen testing, and commented that they are an excellent choice in the movie.
But that's all X-Men fans, Issac Oscar also shared several details concerning his character in the movie En Sabah Nur a.k.a. Apocalypse.
In an interview with Yahoo.com, Isaac revealed some new details on what Apocalypse would look like in the movie, and hinted it won't be just a beautiful make-up, and a fancy costume.
“It’ll be a mix [of practical and digital]. I haven’t had a script so I haven’t had a chance to look through the script and see what the exact requirements are, but I think it’ll be a mixture of physical, aided with some robotic technology.”
With that that being said, Marvel fans will expect to see a very modern, and robotic Apocalypse similar to his comicbook counterpart. Maybe his armor will be made from Celestial technology, further hinting a sci-fi side in the X-Men comic mythos.
What we know so far in the movie is based on rather interesting rumors. First of these are the Horsemen of Apocalypse which consist of Archangel, Holocaust, Exodus, and Selene, while another batch has been reported to be Wolverine, Gambit, Beast (Dark Beast if possible), and Archangel. This could also mean that Wolverine might become an antagonist in the movie as Hugh Jackman wanted his character to have a different approach in the movie's continuity, perhaps this is one of them. The second rumor is that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool cameo in the movie, which will set-up his solo film, and the X-Force spin off. And finally, Mystique leads a new Brotherhood of mutants which consist of Nightcrawler, Shadowking, Destiny, Damask, Switchback, and Avalon.
