"Pitch Perfect 2" cameos are nothing to scoff at.
Director Elizabeth Banks already revealed "The Sing-Off" champion Pentatonix and finalist The Filharmonics as well as Penn Masala as some of the Barden Bellas' incredibly strong competitors in the highly anticipated sequel.
Fans of both the new film as well as the talented a capella groups rejoiced at the possibility of hearing even more amazing renditions of pop music in the movie.
More avid fans were pleasantly surprised at seeing The Green Bay Packers in the very entertaining trailer.
"They are fans!" Anna Kendrick revealed to Seth Meyers during the "Late Night With Seth Meyers" earlier this month. "Like they were talking about it so much that our producers were like, 'We should probably ask them to be in it.'"
The 29-year-old added that they could "do the whole finale number back to front" and "inside out."
Aside from the football players, rumors are also circulating that "The Voice" coach Christina Aguilera will be joining the list of "Pitch Perfect 2" cameos!
If she is going to appear in the film, what role could she possibly take on?
The popstar might just cameo as herself, one of the judges for the a capella competition or one of the Barden Bella's mentor according to speculations.
According to Realty Today, however, these speculations aren't very reliable and could only be a marketing ploy to attract more viewers.
Based on the success of its first movie in 2012, "Pitch Perfect 2" doesn't need much noise making. The official trailer for the movie, uploaded through The Ellen Show channel on Youtube, already has more than 18 million views.
The first film, "Pitch Perfect," earned $113 million worldwide. One of its songs, "Cups," also earned a spot in the Billboard Hot 100.
The "Pitch Perfect 2" cameos aren't the only things to look forward to in the sequel. Academy Award nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld will be joining the new group of Bellas on May 15.
