Ciara and Future’s engagement was back on for a hot second after the “Honest” rapper allegedly cheated on the mother of his son, Future Zahir, according to HollywoodLife.

Although the couple officially split, the process of putting Future behind may not be so easy for Ciara, especially now that the couple share an 8-month old son together.

In the hopes of moving on, Ciara reportedly recently removed the “N” tattoo on her left ring finger, which was a reference to Future’s real name, Nayvadius. She also reportedly revisited the pains of the end of her relationship in her new single, “I Bet,” which was released on January 15.

“I bet you start loving me/ As soon as I start loving someone else/ Somebody better than you/ I bet you start needing me/ As soon as you see me with someone else/ Somebody other than you,” sings Ciara.

Future allegedly cheated on Ciara when she was pregnant with 21-year-old singer Tinashe. According to Media TakeOut, Ciara reportedly walked in on Future and Tinashe in “a compromising position.”

Ciara had been open about drawing from her own experiences when making her music and it seems that Future-inspired songs may be in her upcoming album “#Jackie.”

“As a songwriter, I always pull from my life experiences as well as the experiences shared by others. It is important to me that my music feels real,” the 29-year-old singer told People.

Aside from making her music, Ciara has taken on the role of being a mother and she’s clearly doing an amazing job at it.

“I play music for him all the time. Anything from nursery rhymes to my music,” explained Ciara.

She added, “One of the greatest joys is when I’m singing to him. No matter what he’s doing, he literally stops everything and smiles.”
