Zhang Ziyi can claim to have a very unique engagement proposal as the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" actress got proposed to by her rock star boyfriend through the use of a drone.

According to the report from Telegraph, a white drone hovered above Zhang Ziyi who marked her forthcoming birthday over the weekend.

That's when boyfriend Wang Feng took out an engagement ring before kneeling down in front of Zhang Ziyi to propose.

"Witnessed by all, we have experienced happiness and sorrow," he said in Chinese. "I hope Ziyi can always have the happiest time. If we both are old, I can still take care of you."

Zhang Ziyi said "yes" then cried.

Wang Feng then posted a message to Zhang Ziyi following their engagement on his own blog as he wrote: "Thank you for giving me a complete life. All the hardships are bygones. From now on, we will grow old hand in hand."

The rock star announced two years ago that he and Zhang Ziyi are in love during a concert in Shanghai, said China.org.

"I want to make you the happiest woman in the world, and I imagine one day we can be blessed for our sincere love as celebrities without being criticized and vilified by people," he said. "I imagine one day we can tell each other "I love you" without [seeing the] tears in each other's eyes."

"The people around us will not flash their cameras at us and instead respond to us with a friendly smile," he added.

The article also noted the doubts expressed by some of Zhang Ziyi's fans and how Wang Feng made the similar gesture to his ex-wife and ex-girlfriend.

"When dating rumors of Zhang and Wang surfaced, the latter has just divorced his wife and Zhang had just broken up with her ex-boyfriend, television host Sa Beining," it added.

However, it seems Zhang Ziyi and Wang Feng are serious about their relationship following the engagement report.
