Johnny Depp was a surprise guest at Marilyn Manson's Sidewave concert as part of the Soundwave lineup 2015 in Brisbane Friday night. The "Edward Scissorhands" star played guitars with the rock icon in front of a packed audience at the Tivoli in Brisbane.
It turns out that the Hollywood actor is currently based in the Gold Coast as he is filming for "Pirates of The Carribean 5." On Friday night, however, it seems that Captain Jack Sparrow took some time off from the set to rock onstage with the shock rocker.
The fans were treated to the guitar-playing skills of the 51-year-old actor in full Jack Sparrow character and costume who suddenly appeared on the stage of the Tivoli venue.
"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" actor Johnny Depp played along to the Pale Emperor himself, doing a rendition of "The Beautiful People" in front of a delighted crowd.
This is not the first time that the "Sleep Hollow" star and the Grammy-award nominated musician have shared the stage together. The two have reportedly been friends since having met on the set of "21 Jump Street," the show which launched Depp's career.
The pair has performed together for several times already, the most recent one being at The Roxy at West Hollywood with Die Antwoord's Ninja.
A lot of acts are currently touring the Land Down Under as part of the Soundwave lineup 2015, as well as various headline tours resulting in many surprise collaborations this week. Foo Fighters was joined by the drummer of Rage Against the Machine, Brad Wilk while the front man of My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way, did the classic Misfits track "Astro Zombies" along with hardcore rockers Rise Against.
Johnny Depp will probably be performing onstage more often, so fans should get used to see him rock out. According to a report by Music Feeds, the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" actor has just formed a super rock group with Alice Cooper and the guitarist of Aerosmith, Joe Perry.
The Soundwave lineup 2015 also includes big name acts such as Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Slipknot and Faith No More.
