The Oculus Rift consumer version release date may have been revealed online as a response to Valve revealing the HTC Vive VR headset.
CNET has reported that Valve has unveiled their VR headset called the HTC Vive VR Headset and that some are saying that is already better than the Oculus Rift.
"HTC and Valve announced the HTC Vive, a virtual reality platform and hardware for PCs, a few days ago at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona," wrote CNET.
While, Venture Beat has stated that unlike the Oculus Rift, Valve's HTC Vive VR headset offers the most best VR experience right now.
"Valve's and HTC's Vive is the most believable virtual reality experience yet," wrote Venture Beat.
Venture Beat then continued, "What HTC and Valve have packed into the headset they showed me today will work as a consumer product. I'd buy this. I'm no longer worried about the tracking or the "screen door effect" on the display, because I felt present in Vive."
And now, it seems that Oculus may have allegedly revealed the Oculus Rift consumer version release date as a response to the hype that HTC Vive VR headset is gaining right now.
TechAndPrince has reported that following the announcement by Palmer Luckey that he expects the Oculus Consumer version to be available by Winter 2015, the Oculus Rift consumer version release date has been reportedly set by OVR to be on late November 2015.
"Palmer Luckey said the rift would be available by Winter. My sources can confirm that the rift can be bought on November," wrote TechAndPrince.
Previously, Oculus VR CEO, Palmer Luckey has cadmitted that he expects the Oculus Rift consumer version release date to be on Winter 2015.
"Speaking to The Telegraph, as reported by VR Focus, Lucky estimated a winter 2015 launch for the first consumer version of the VR headset" wrote Gamenguide.
