LG confirmed that they are about to start the global rollouts of AKA smartphones in other markets such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Turkey, cite GSM Arena.
The device has been introduced first in Korea in November and just last week it has been unveiled in Taiwan. Report claims that the LG AKA smartphone will be available starting on March 23 with a debut price of NTD 9,900, roughly around $315, while it is priced at $455 in Korea for now.
According to Gadgets NDTV, aside from China, Singapore and Turkey, LG disclosed that additional markets for LG AKA will be announced soon; however, as of this writing, the South Korean company has not yet released any details about the price of an LG AKA smartphone to other other markets.
The LG AKA device comes with Mood cases, which allows the users to choose different cover cases, namely Eggy (Yellow), Soul (Blue), Wookie (White) and YoYo (Pink). The four cases feature different-styled eyes that portrayed different moods. GSM Arena describes Eggy as a compulsive lover, Soul as "music-loving," Wooki as the impulsive one and YoYo is describe as the one on a diet because of the eyes.
The device features 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 that runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. It has a 16 GB internal storage, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and is equipped with a 2,610 mAh battery.
Other specs of the device include an 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front-facing camera, with photography features such as touch and shoot, laser auto focus and gesture shot. The handset has connectivity options such as Bluetooth, 4G LTE, 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, AGPSC and USB 2.0.
The LG AKA smartphone also features a Snapshoot tool that can create an animated 3D version of any clicked image.
