"The Last Of Us 2" release date was finally revealed by Naughty Dog and that they have finally stated that "The Last of Us 2" release date would be set after the launch of "Uncharted 4".
According to the report of KpopStarz, "The Last of Us 2" release date was confirmed by Naughty Dog to be set after the launch of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End". KpopStarz also reports that the development of "The Last of Us 2" is going to be postponed so that Naughty Dog can focus on the development of "Uncharted 4".
"It has been officially announced that 'The Last Of Us 2' will come out after the release date of 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.'," wrote KpopStarz.
KpopStarz then continued, "Naughty Dog recently confirmed that they have "TLOU" set "on ice" as they currently have their eyes set on the sequel to the "Uncharted" series, which is expected to come out this year."
And finally, a different report by KpopStarz notes that "The Last of Us 2" release date could be on 2017 or 2018.
"'The Last Of Us 2' is rumored to have a release date in 2017 or 2018 after game creator Neil Druckmann confirmed a sequel to the post apocalyptic gaming title," wrote KpopStarz
Previously, Hypable reported that the "Last of Us 2" is in the early stages of development and that Naughty Dog has the stage for what would happen in the sequel and it may not include Joel and Ellie at all:
"When asked if there was going to be further content for the universe Joel and Ellie live in, Creative Director Druckmann said, 'It's possible. We're playing with some ideas, but no direction has been set yet for the next game.'"
"By stating 'for the next game,' Druckmann confirmed The Last of Us 2 is in the planning process," wrote Hypable.
Hypable then stated, "Later on, Druckmann tries to cover for himself, answering 'Will you be making another The Last of Us and will it feature Joel and Ellie?' with 'Don't know yet.'"
