Verne Troyer was rushed to the hospital following a seizure at Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco.
Actor, stunt performer, Verne Troyer who is best known for playing Mini-Me in "Austin Powers" series of comedy films, was taken to the hospital following a seizure on Saturday, March 21. According the ContactMusic, Troyer was making an appearance at the Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco when he suffered the seizure.
Troyer's rep told TheHollywoodReporter that he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The rep further confirmed that his test results came back normal and he is doing fine. Troyer took to his Twitter to thank his fans for making sure he was okay and confirm that everything was just fine. The actor later added "Thanks again guys! See you tomorrow at @thehotcon."
The 2feet 8inch star opened up about going to the hospital to his fans in a video. Troyer reassured his fans that he was doing fine. He stated that he was in the hospital for maybe a couple of hours, did some tests and was back at the hotel.
Some of Troyer's fans who had lined up for autographs and photos at the event witnessed the alarming scene, with one woman later detailing the incident on photo-sharing website, Instagram.
The Heart of Texas Comic Con also expressed its concern on social networking platform, Twitter by tweeting a message of support for the actor wishing Verne Troyer a speedy recovery, it further cited Troyer's confirmation that he is okay and hoped to see him soon.
Troyer's height 2 ft 8 in is the result of cartilage-hair hypoplasia dwarfism, as a result of which he is one of the shortest men in the world. Troyer reportedly married model, Genevieve Gallen on Feb. 22, 2004, however filed for an annulment the very next day. Despite the fact that the pair's engagement was extensively reported, Troyer as well as his attorney denied that the two ever had any formal wedding plans.
