Acer has announced that the Acer Liquid M220 smartphone will be available in the United States through Microsoft Stores.
According to the Windows Blog, the Acer Liquid M220 device will be available starting in June via Microsoft Stores in the US.
"The Liquid M220 smartphone will be available at Microsoft Stores and MicrosoftStore,com in the United States in Mystic Blue and Pure while for manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $79.99 in June," it said.
The Acer Liquid M220 has a 4-inch 233 PPI with WVGA 480 x 800 display that offers clear images. Also, the device measure in 4.9- x 2.5-x. 38-inches and weighs only 4.2 ounces.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a dual core CPU, which is clocked at 1.2 GHz. It has 1 GB memory, 8 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to with a Micro SD card.
In terms of camera, the Acer Liquid M220 has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 89-degree wide-angle lens capture while the front-facing camera has 2MP. As for the battery, the handset has a 1300 mAh battery, which lasts up to three hours talk time and up to 200 hours standby on a single charge.
The device is fully supported by Microsoft services and applications, such as Office, Skype, OneDrive and the Cortana digital assistant.
Furthermore, the smartphone runs on Windows 8.1 operating system and is supported by Acer for the free Windows Phone 10 upgrade, once the OS is officially released.
Meanwhile, the company has also announced the liquid X2, a smartphone with 4,000 mAh battery, according to Expert Reviews. However, full specifications for the device have not yet been confirmed, but Acer stated that the device has a 5.5-inch HD display and a 64-bit octa-core processor.
