The news that Bae Yong Joon would wed actress Park Soo Jin prompted congratulations, but it also started some rumors.

After denying the rumors, Key East Entertainment, the agency that represents both Bae Yong Joon and Park Soo Jin threatened to take legal action against any media outlet that spread them. They were forced to take legal action against one media outlet and have since reached an agreement.

Bae, 42, announced that he was marrying Park, 29, in May. The news was surprising since the couple had only dated since February of 2015. They met when she joined Key East Entertainment in 2014. After the couple announced their engagement, there was some speculation about a possible pregnancy, which the agency denied.

"It is not a shotgun wedding," Key East representatives told Naver TV.

A spokesperson for the agency said that the couple knew they were right for each other right away and wanted to marry as soon as possible.

When the couple first announced their wedding plans, they mentioned a fall ceremony, but the wedding is now taking place on July 27. When the wedding date was pushed forward, it prompted a new set of pregnancy rumors. Key East denied those rumors too and recently spoke with the Korean media outlet Joongang Daily about the reason behind the July wedding date.

"The date of the ceremony was scheduled after discussion with each celebrity's parents, and therefore has nothing to do with Park's pregnancy. That is not even true."

According to a July 16 report in the Joongang Daily, Key East reached an agreement with the media outlet that spread rumors but they will pursue legal action against anyone else who spreads them.

Bae Yong Joon became a star when he appeared in the k-drama "Winter Sonata," which has been credited as launching the Hallyu. The actor became so beloved in Japan that he acquired the nickname Yon-Sama. He is a majority shareholder in Key East Entertainment.

Park Soo Jin, 29, was formerly a member of the k-pop girl group Sugar, which also included actress Hwang Jung Eum. Her recent drama roles include playing Park Shin Hye's funny frenemy in "Flower Boys Next Door" and Mo Seol in "The Blade and the Petal."

Bae and Park plan to marry at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel and honeymoon in Korea.
