‘The Legend of Korra’ Spin-Off Movie Is Happening; Film to Star Dylan O’Brien

In 2012 the Nickelodeon TV series, "The Legend of Korra" ended but the finale of the famous show gave hope to all the fans that there might be a possibility for a spinoff movie. Though a sequel to the "The Legend of Korra" on the silver screen was not planned at the time, it seems feasible now.

The finale of Nickelodeon's "The Legend of Korra" hinted at a relationship between Asami and Korra which made the fans think that there are chances that they will get to see the film version of their favourite animated show. Paramount Pictures and Netflix had announced a follow-up to the movie is in making.

Earlier this year, VCPost reported that the fans of the series are submitting petition through Change.org to make the producers work on a possible take-off of the series through Netflix. But after a fallout between the show's creators Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino, it a movie version of the popular TV series did not seem realistic. The duo told to Hypable their plate is full as they are working on multiple seasons and an adaptation was unlikely.

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" was the first part in the trilogy and got a silver screen adaption in 2010. The film was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalm. The film targeted an audience below the age of ten and failed to impress the fans and the critics. However, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is likely to move on to a possible sequel.

According to Movie News Guide, M. Night Shyamalm has confirmed that the sequel to "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "The Legend of Korra" is in the production stage and this time he is not going to repeat the same mistakes. At the same time, speculations about the cast has begun to surface online.

According to Movie Pilot, several actors and actresses could play possible lead roles in the movie. The website also stated that the "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" actor, Dylan O'Brien may play the role of Bolin and Zendaya Coleman could perform as Korra.
