Order that cake, get comfy on the couch. It's time to celebrate the September birthdays of some of your favorite k-drama stars. All of the stars mentioned here have had a pretty good year. Here's what the stars celebrating September birthdays have been up to.
The month starts our with Kim So Eun's birthday on September 6. The actress currently appears in "The Scholar Who Walks The Night" as Lee Jun Ki's lost love. Before that she starred with Lee Sang Yoon and Shin Sung Rok in "The Liar Game." And she was popular as Song Jae Rim's virtual bride in the reality show 'We Got Married."
Sept. 14. Lee Jong Suk celebrates his special day on Sept. 14 and his career is stronger than ever. His last drama "Pinocchio" with Park Shin Hye was a huge success. And he's appeared in a few post-drama commercials with her too.
Sept. 15. Kim Sung Oh got to play a nice guy in "Warm and Cozy." As the mayor of a Jeju village, he got to pursue Kang So Ra and compete with Yoo Yeon Sook for her affections. Before that he played a not-so-nice sorcerer in the fantasy saeguk "The Night Watchman's Journal."
Sept. 16: After playing a Joseon-era prince in "The Three Musketeers," Lee Jin Wook got a chance to win Ha Ji Won's heart in the drama "The Time I Did Not Love You." He played the perfect best friend and then the perfect boyfriend and husband.
Sept. 19. Song Joong Ki is back from his two-year mandatory military service. He can soon be seen playing a Special Forces Officer in the drama "Descendants of the Sun" with co-star Song Hye Kyo. As the leader of a peacekeeping unit, he clashes with and then falls in love with her doctor character.
Sept 21. Yoon Sang Hyun got married in the past year to singer MayBee. His last big drama role was in Gap Dong, but he had cameos in "The Time We Were Not In Love" and "Pinocchio."
Sept. 25: Hyun Bin turns 33 this month. His first project after finishing his two-year military duty was playing King Jeongjo in the film "The Fatal Encounter." It was the first historical film for the actor. Then he played a man with a split personality in "Hyde, Jekyll and I."
Sept. 29: Actress Yoon Seung Ah also got married this year. She married fellow actor Kim Mu Yeol, who appeared in "My Beautiful Bride." The actress did not have a drama role this year but was cast in the film "The Deal."
Sept. 30: Joo Won is a hot commodity at the moment since his drama "Yong Pal" is a hit. In that drama he plays a surgeon who makes some less than ethical choices. He falls for an heiress who is trapped in a medically induced coma. After he wakes this Sleeping Beauty, they become allies.
