Tennis player Nick Kyrgios needs help in the U.S. Open and former Australian cricketer Shane Warne seems too keen to offer help. According to The Guardian, Shane wrote an open letter to Nick Kyrgios, stating, "We all realize you're only 20 and have a lot to learn buddy. But please don't waste your talent, everyone in the world, especially us Australians want to respect you." Warne also said that Nick is testing everyone's patience.
He was referring to his controversial performance at the US open. The Guardian also reported that former player John McEnroe also slammed Tennis player Nick Kyrgios stating that he acted like a "bonehead" in the match. He also warned Nick that he will be remembered as a clown and not as a player if he was up to his antics. Nick was eliminated from this year's final grand slam tournament in the first round itself.
Aussie tennis player Nick Kyrgios lost first round to Britain's Andy Murray in his opening match at Flushing Meadows. Murray went on to close the match by winning four sets. Nick remarkably displayed some of his talented shots during the match including one straight between Murray's legs, reported Time. However, his antics stole away the limelight and were much talked about among eminent tennis circles.
Nick was also warned by Umpire Carlos Ramos for swearing loudly as well as for slamming the racket on the court. Moreover, spectators were left amused or even shocked when they witnessed Nick dosing off to short naps between the match breaks, reported The Guardian.
The Guardian also reported that the recent incident though pales in front of earlier incident during the Rogers Cup Match when the tennis player for Australia was caught on microphone for talking to his opponent Stan Wawrinka. Kyrgios said Wawrinka's girlfriend has slept with Australian pro Thanasi Kokkinakis.
The 20-year-old was eventually slapped with two fines and a suspension for his remarks. Nick also displayed rash behavior when he took a wad of chewing gum from his mouth and handed over to staff while giving an interview to the sports reporter.
