Han Hye Jin delivered a baby girl at a Seoul hospital on September 13. Namoo Actors confirmed that 34-year-old actress and 26-year-old soccer star Ki Sung Yueng were the parents to a healthy baby.
The Korean outlet Chosun published the official statement from Namoo Actors. "She delivered at a hospital in Seoul on September 13, said a representative for the agency. "Many people gave blessings to the mother and child, who was born healthy."
Han Hye Jin also issued a statement through her agency, expressing her joy at giving birth to her first daughter. "I'm happy to finally meet my child, after a long wait," said Han. "My husband and I hope to acknowledge the blessings of many people, by living a happier life together, through our child."
Han experienced her breakthrough role in the 2005 daily series, "Be Strong, Geum Soon." Her last Korean drama role was in the 2013 series, "One Warm Word."
Her husband, Ki Sung Yueng, is a professional football player for the Swansea City club. He is also the captain of the Korean national team.
The couple married on July 1, 2013. The stars publically announced their relationship in March 2013 and followed with news of their engagement two months later.
