You might have experienced falling in love with an unknown face who exuded charisma and promising skills in popular dramas.
Chances are these actors are just building their filmography as rising stars! Here are five rookie stars who are ready to dominate 2022!
Chu Young Woo
The 23-year-old star made his television debut in 2021 with the BL drama "You Make Me Dance."
Fortunately, the year has been great to him, allowing him to jump from one drama to another. He also gained a solid fan base both domestically and internationally.
Chu Young Woo led the romance coming-of-youth dramas "Police University" with Krystal Jung and Jung Jinyoung, and "School 2021" with Cho Yi Hyun, Kim Yo Han and Hwang Boreum Byeol.
This year, he returns to the small screen with the upcoming drama "O'PENing" (previously titled "Babel Syndrome"). It depicts the stories of people who lost their language due to a genetic modification-inducing epidemic, and it will air in late June on tvN.
Jo Woo Jae
Unlike Chu Young Woo, actor Jo Woo Jae debuted early. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't received his breakthrough role yet.
But he sure has a diverse filmography including "Come and Hug Me," "Love Alert" and "Best Chicken."
Jo Woo Jae is set to make his variety show debut with Kim Jong Kook, Ji Hyun Woo and more this 2022 with "Fluttering the Overcoat Hems"!
