One of the interesting topics Gong Yo openly talked about was fatherhood.

When asked about the experience he only felt through his characters, the actor said being a father.

Gong Yoo played various characters and one of which is playing someone else's father like in "Train to Busan" and "The Silent Sea."

With this, the actor said that it is the emotion he is "most curious about" adding that he "can't predict when my present self will come to experience such things."

Playing these types of roles has changed his perspective on raising a child.

For Gong Yoo, he said that during his early 30s, his reaction would be feeling ecstatic seeing a baby; however, he reached a certain age where he questioned himself if he could raise a child well.

"'Do I possess the talent to pull off the role of a father?'' and "Would giving birth to a child in these times even be good for them," he asked himself, adding that he is "bit more fearful and careful" about starting his own family.
