Another celebrity couple just made headlines! On March 25, outlets began the rumor mill that TWICE's Jihyo is in relationship with athlete Yun Sung Bin.
According to reports, their relationship started after they first met through an acquaintance and became closer since they are both gum buffs.
In addition to the dating speculations, the TWICE leader and Yun Sung Bin have been dating for a year.
With the romance rumor surrounding the duo, TWICE Jihyo's agency, JYP Entertainment, neither confirmed nor denied it. Instead, they said that the label could "not give confirmation [to their relationship] due to the matter being [the artist's] personal life."
Prior to this, both the TWICE member and Yun Sung Bin made appearances on the MBC reality show "I Live Alone" but did not appear on the same episode.
There were also speculations that the duo might have gotten close while on the set of the TV show.
While K-pop fans certainly know who Jihyo is, let's get to know more about the rumored boyfriend, Yun Sung Bin.
Who is Yun Sung Bin?
As mentioned, Yun Sung Bin is a famous athlete.
He began his career in skeleton racing in 2012 at the age of 18, but prior to this, the young Sun Bin grew up in an athletic environment.
Born and raised in Namhae, South Gyeongsang Province, he has been well versed in various sports since early childhood and has played soccer and badminton.
During middle school, he moved to Seoul and eventually became part of the Korea National Sports University, where everything started.
As for his professional career, Yun Sung Bin made history as the first Asian athlete to ever win the overall title in the Skeleton World Cup. It was after he bagged the title at the 2017 and 2018 World Cups.
In addition to his achievements, he took home the gold medal in men's skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, making him the first South Korean to win a Winter Olympic medal in a non-ice skating category.
In sports, the 29-year-old heartthrob captivated the hearts of viewers after joining Netflix's survival-reality challenge, "Physical: 100," where he became part of Season 1 along with icon Choo Sung Hoon and more.
Unfortunately, Yun Sung Bin's journey ended after he lost in Quest 4 for the "Punishment of Sisyphus."
Fellow competitors Ma Sun Ho and Choo Sung Hoon failed to win after cyclist Jung Hae Min won the round.
In addition to this, Yun Sung Bin, who is also an avid fan of golf, became part of the TV show "Golf King" Season 4.
