On the January 8 installment of the hit show "You Quiz on the Block," actress Song Hye Kyo recalled a 25-year-old incident with comedian Yoo Jae Suk. It also marks her first variety show appearance in 23 years.
Initially, Yoo and Song sounded a bit nostalgic after Yoo posted a video of them revisiting Bennigan's on the show's YouTube channel in a pre-released clip.
"Is it okay to say (name of store)?" she asked as she thought back to their history.
As quoted by WikiTree, Yoo Jae-suk said, "(Song) Eun-i is my friend and asked me to eat, but I said, 'Can I go with Hye-kyo?' so I met her for a bit," but Song Hye-kyo denied this and corrected herself, saying, "I'll buy you a meal, so come together,' so we all gathered together."
Yoo Jae-suk was embarrassed and said, "I said that?"
The episode will explore everything from what Song's school life was like when she attended Eun Kwang Girls' High School to her relationships in the entertainment industry and her rise to stardom after coming in first place in a school uniform contest at 17 years of age.
Song is also set to describe her life as a top star and heartbreaking tale of the emotional toll rumors have taken on her soul.
She will talk about the big projects in her career, from "Autumn in My Heart" to "The Glory."
That's how engaging the Song scene got that Yoo Jae Suk too, in another dose of praise, said, "I'm sinking into Song Hye Kyo talk swamp."
Fans will be able to learn more about Song Hye-kyo's life when the episode of "You Quiz on the Block," which airs on Wednesdays at 8:45 p.m., is released.
