It relates to the KK Industrial Park in Myawaddy, one of the town's vertical districts and a hub for online scams.

Reports indicate Wang Xing was whisked away while visiting the area which set alarm bells ringing over what kind of underworld was going down there.

As reported by 163, on January 12, a Hong Kong media outlet followed the route of Wang's kidnapping and found that the border area of Myawaddy still looked very different from the struggling face of neighboring Thailand's poverty.

Despite public outrage and numerous petitions urging them to shut it down, the park — which has become infamous for its deceptive practices — remains up and running.

Recent explorations by the media found links between the founders of the park and personalities in the entertainment industry.

Importantly, Min News noted that KK Park founder She Zhijiang was said to be a cousin of Huang Youlong, Zhao Wei's now ex-husband.

Speaking of Huang Youlong, born in 1976 in Hunan province, he is not without controversy. He was a driver for an erstwhile Shenzhen leader and then became a mysteriously wealthy businessman in Singapore.

The financial dealings have also attracted some extra scrutiny as well with his links to actress-entrepreneur Zhao Wei.

Zhao Wei and Huang Youlong got married in 2007 after a flash marriage. The two gained notoriety for their headline-grabbing stakes in firms such as Alibaba Pictures and Huayi Brothers. Recently, Zhao Wei revealed that he has divorced his husband a long time ago.

Nonetheless, the former couple's business endeavors have periodically faced scrutiny. A debt-trading settlement from 2018 brought penalties from China's securities regulators against them for manipulative trading practices.

Both Zhao Wei and Huang Youlong have reportedly denied any wrongdoing while rumors speculating about their potential links with the online fraud epidemic in Myanmar keep swirling on the internet. Zhao added that she divorced Huang years prior and wanted nothing to do with his shady dealings.

In the aftermath of the Wang Xing incident, the Myawaddy fraud parks scandal has deepened, with renewed calls for accountability and transparency in the region.

While investigations proceed, researchers question how pervasive these connections are in the adult entertainment and unlawful sectors.
