All onboard both aircraft were killed in the crash, which took place Thursday, said a statement from the White House.

According to Chosun Biz, Jinna Han, along with about 20 other young figure skaters and their parents and coaches were on board the PSA Airlines-operated flight returning from a national training camp in Wichita, Kansas.

The group was headed to Ronald Reagan Airport when the crash happened at 8:53 p.m.

Jinna Han, a member of The Skating Club of Boston since 2020, was traveling with her mother. Three soldiers on the helicopter also died in the crash.

Jinna is remembered as a graceful and talented figure ice skater.

Various videos of her recent performance before the incident are going viral online as the figure skating community mourns her tragic death.

The young skater had recently earned a spot on the National High-Performance Development Team after finishing fourth at the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Doug Zeghibe, CEO of The Skating Club of Boston, described Jinna as not only a talented competitor but also a supportive and kind peer.

"We watched Jinna grow up here," Zeghibe added. "From just a little girl into this amazingly mature 13-year-old," Zeghibe was quoted as saying by WJAR.

Tributes from across the skating world have flooded in, including from Olympian Mirai Nagasu, who said Jinna's death deeply saddened her.

"This loss feels especially personal because of my connection to some of the families," Nagasu told PEOPLE.

"Jinna [Han] was an incredibly talented skater who regularly interacted with my son, Taiga," she added.

Also killed in the accident were Spencer Lane, a teenage skater adopted from Korea, and his mother, Christine Lane.

Among the dead were Evgenia Shushkova and Vadim Naumov, former world figure skating champions from Russia. The group was on its way home from a development camp when the tragedy occurred.

Recovery efforts are ongoing, with all 67 people who were on the plane and the helicopter now declared dead.

Fire Chief John Donnelly of Washington D.C. confirmed efforts have transitioned to recovery instead of rescue.

President Donald Trump spoke to the nation about the tragedy, mourning that there had been no survivors.

The incident is among the deadliest aviation disasters since an American Airlines crash in New York in 2001.

The crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which will try to determine what caused the collision.

CBS News reported that at least 40 bodies have been retrieved from the crash site so far as of 5:30 PM E.T.
