GOLD MEDALIST, the agency of Kim Soo Hyun, has filed a complaint against the Garo Sero Research Institute under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

The allegations are rooted in the distribution of a bootleg video which allegedly contained images of the actor exposing his lower body.

On March 24, 2025, GOLD MEDALIST reportedly said in its statement that the actions of Garo Sero Research Institute were not limited to this, and there were other unwholesome acts.

After the first complaint was filed on March 20, the institute again shared the images and even reportedly threatened Disney+, whose new K-drama Knock Off, starring Kim Soo Hyun, is slated to debut soon.

Garo Sero Research Institute showed the explicit photographs again on their YouTube channel during a live broadcast on March 21. GOLD MEDALIST added that this blatant flouting of legal standards was unacceptable and illegal.

According to the agency, "This conduct constituting an additional felony offense is the kind of indifference to the law and law enforcement. It is an unimaginable act."

Along with the reposting, Garo Sero Research Institute warned that they would publish a tape featuring Kim Soo Hyun if Disney+ did not pull the release of Knock Off.

The agency also said, 'Like all their previous claims, this is a complete fabrication, and of course, no such video exists." The agency then promised to take legal action again against the institute due to their repeated threats and false statement.
