Super Junior's Kim Hee Chul will be making a small screen comeback with the drama version of "Grandpas Over Flowers".
According to his management company SM Entertainment on March 3, "Super Junior's Kim Hee Chul will be acting in "Flower Grandpa Investigative Team" with Lee Soon Jae, Byun Hee Bong and Jang Kwang. He will be showing his youthful energy as he works with respected veteran actors. It will be a great challenge for him, but he expresses his excitement over this casting."
The comedic drama is about the lives of three grandpas who run a delivery service system, and Lee Soon Jae will portray the role of Go Kang San, a former traffic officer who now leads the group. Kim Hee Chul will portray the role of a young worker who will try to adjust working with three different elderly men.
With the casting of Lee Soon Jae and the similar format of having a group of grandpas and one young man, "Flower Grandpa Investigative Team" has been dubbed as the drama version of "Grandpas Over Flowers".
The drama will be written by writer Moon Sun Hee from "Three Men, Three Women", and directed by Kim Jin Young from the film "Meet The In-Laws".
"Flower Grandpa Investigative Team" is slated for broadcast in May on tvN.
