Blake Lively is filming her new movie "The Age of Adaline" in Vancouver, Canada. Apparently the 26 year old Gossip Girl actress has been working all-nighters for the film, which will be released in 2015. According to E! News, an eyewitness source said Lively had a 5 p.m. call time last night and did not finish shooting until after 4:30 a.m. Despite her heavy shooting schedule, she has been seen out and about in town, while getting visits from husband Ryan Reynolds during her filming in Canada. Reynolds is actually a native of Canada. Last week, Reynolds, 37, and Lively went for a dinner party at the home of her husband's mother, Tammy, on Saturday (March 29) in Vancouver.
"The Age of Adaline" is about a young woman (Lively), born at the turn of 20th century, who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man (Michael Huisman) who might be worth losing her immortality. The film also stars Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn. The film is directed by Lee Toland Krieger, whose previous credits include "The Viscous Kind" and "Celeste And Jesse Forever." The project has actually been in the works for a while now; the Spanish director Isbale Coixet was previously attacted to direct the film at one point. LIvely's character was also originally offered to Katherine Heigl, and Natalie Portman was also in talks to star.
Lively and co-star Ellen Burstyn, who plays her mother in "The Age of Adaline," recently filmed a lunch scene where they shared a hug on Friday (April 4). The 26-year-old actress and Ellen ate lunch during the scene, where they appeared to be laughing and smiling.
Meanwhile, Safe House star Reynolds has been seen around town. He treated himself to a movie at the nearby Tinseltown Cinemas while Lively is busy with night shoots for the rest of the week. She will be filming on location Friday at Papa's Fur, the oldest fur retailer in British Columbia. The couple was also spotted earlier today shopping at Urban Fare, a gourmet grocery store in the area.
Lively and Reynolds tied the knot in a secret ceremony near Charleston, South Carolina, in September 2012. She recently said it was "really nice" to take a break from the spotlight for most of last year to focus on their relationship. LIvely says in the April issue of Elle magazine: "Having a personal life has been really nice. I'd been on Gossip Girl 10 months a year for six years, shooting 15-hour days, so I hadn't had time to just be since I graduated from high school." She added: "It's been nice to kind of settle into my own skin and work on things I really love."
