Microsoft Windows second update to the Windows 8 OS will be free for those who have updated from Windows 8.1. Additionally, Windows 9 is also slated to be free of charge when it arrives next year. The information was unveiled by hacking group Wzor. However, Wzor mentions that Microsoft is sttill debating improvements regarding Windows 8.
Rumors have it that Microsoft is delaying a fix for the start menu on windows 8.1 with a third update slated next year. This is bound to have a 'knock on' effect on the release of Windows 9.Windows users on Windows 8.1, who wish to switch to Update 2, do not need to pay for the further updates, in sync with what leaker WZOR said via TG Daily. Most likely an Update 3 to Windows would mean a delay of Threshold Windows 9.
In the Spring 2015, when Windows 9 Threshold was scheduled for release, a Windows 8.1 Update 3 is in the works for a launch. This update 3 will carry a start menu that was supposed to be introduced to the Windows Windows 8.1 Update 2.
A revised release plan proposed by prolific leaker Wzor claims that the Microsoft Windows Update 3's release in April of next year will push back the Microsoft Threshold Windows 9 Update back to at least the middle of the year, around June 2015. Similar to the Update 2, the Windows 9 OS will be available free of charge to those who have opted for Update 3, which supposeldy will carry the oft-requested Start Menu.
Reports say that Microsoft Windows 9 will be the "OS to rule them all" and one of the touted ffeatures will be cross platform integration with Xbox One and Windows Phone.
