The latest "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers revealed the possible director of the film. A few months ago, Ivan Reitman announced that he won't be directing the film. This was right after one of the lead actors of "Ghostbusters", Harold Ramis, passed away.
The filmmaker told SpinOff, "I just decided a few weeks ago, two days after I came back from Chicago for his funeral, that yeah, it's time ... I suddenly felt excited about producing a movie with other people directing Ghostbusters, and seeing the opportunity for new ideas and kind of a fresh take for some of the things we built into this draft."
Ivan Reitman didn't reveal any "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers, but based on what he said, we can expect a different twist to the movie. A source revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the number one candidate to direct the film is Paul Feig, who is famous for his work in the comedy "Bridesmaids".
According to the website, "The film will be a reboot focusing on female Ghostbusters." However the insider claimed that there are still no formal negotiations between Paul Feig and Sony. If ever the 51-year old director will agree into doing the film, then we may see three of today's top comediennes.
Paul Feig did a great job in directing the "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat" so we're confident that he can create a group of female Ghostbusters that will surely crack us all up. Getting the lead stars of "The Heat", Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, to star in "Ghostbusters 3" may be too ambitious.
The best candidates to replace Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Aykroyd are the women of "Bridesmaids". Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Rose Byrne will be perfect for the role since they already have that chemistry on screen. Since Dan Aykroyd showed interest that he will be back, then he may play the role of a mentor. What do you think of the latest "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers? Which group of actress do you think will best portray the role of female ghost hunters?
