NBA trade rumors continue to suggest that the Toronto Raptors are keeping a close eye on Minnesota Timberwolves' Anthony Bennett.
Bennett might previously be the first overall pick but it seems like the Minnesota Timberwolves are not happy with his performance. The basketball star is already on his second team after two seasons.
"As I've said in the past, Wolves would move Anthony Bennett for the right price, but there are no active discussions right now," Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press tweeted.
In the last season, Anthony Bennett averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. In 2013, it was said that he was quite a letdown for the Cleveland Cavaliers. With his recent stats, the Timberwolves are reportedly feeling the same way.
According to NBA trade rumors from Yibada, Anthony Bennett just might be the perfect fit for the Toronto Raptors given that they are in need of a power forward. They may have acquired Atlanta Hawks' DeMarre Carroll but with Amir Williams gone they were back to square one.
The publication pointed out that some critics may argue that Bennett may not be power forward material. He, however, has recently ton of weight and also performed well at the Pan Am Games.
Bennett may have been in the trading block since June and no team has expressed quite a significant interest on him yet. Some analysts perceive that he may just eventually stay with Minnesota Timberwolves.
"He's still only 22 years old, so there's a chance he could turn around his career and develop into something useful," reported Fox Sports.
"But we haven't seen any signs of improvement so far, and the 'star' projection Cleveland had for him on draft day is well in the past by now."
