Recent reports claim that the team is looking for strong point guard player, adding that Jose Calderon was not doing the job well. According to Inquistr, the Knicks are eyeing Jennings to take Calderon's place.

"Jennings is young, filled with talent, and could bring electricity to the Knicks locker room," the report said.

The latest NBA trade rumors suggest that the Pistons may have yet to make up their mind on Jennings standings, but other teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers are already waiting in the shadows.

The point guard left this year after suffering from a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Since then, the Pistons acquired Reggie Jackson in a trade to take his place. Jackson was given a five-year contract, allegedly worth more than $80 million this summer.

When asked how he felt about Jackson taking his place, Jennings said that he fully understand the team's decision.

"Bringing in Reggie Jackson was smart," he told Detroit Free Press.

"I'm supposed to be out, really, for nine months, and they need a point guard."

Brandon Jennings added that his main priority as of the moment is get healthy. He added that he did not care if the team decided to put him on the bench this season.

"I just want to play basketball again. I just want to get back on the court and have fun."

Multiple publications speculated that the team will eventually trade Jennings based on Jackson's performance. It was however said that the New York Knicks is still being cautious in adding new players. The team is reportedly eager to see how Langston Galloway and Jerian Grant will perform this season.
