It has been a few months since Kim Jung Eun, the star of dozens of dramas and films, admitted that she is in a relationship. But she would like to clear up some of the rumors surrounding that relationship.

The actress, who appeared in "Marrying The Mafia," Lovers in Paris" and "I am Legend," currently plays former homicide detective Jung Duk In in the weekend drama "Make A Woman Cry." Her character is so distraught over the death of her son that she stops working as a detective and opens a snack shop. Still, she can't help breaking up fights and trying to protect the neighborhood children.

Kim Jung Eun is a talented actress and for the past few years she has been good at keeping her dating life private. In June she was forced to admit that she is dating someone and has been for a while.

But not everything people have heard is true.

In an interview with the Korean media outlet Sports World, she spoke about her now-public relationship with a fund manager for a foreign financial institution. In June the two were spotted on a date together and had to own up to dating.

"We were half forced to acknowledge our relationship because we were caught on camera," said Kim.

But given that they went on a date every Friday, they were likely to eventually get caught.

"We had been together for three years when we got caught," she said. "I guess we weren't careful enough. Everyone on the set teased me. They asked if every Friday I was going to see my boyfriend."

It was rumored that Kim Jung Eun was dating the heir of a wealthy family but her agency denied that her boyfriend was a chaebol. He is a successful businessman.

There were also rumors that the two planned to wed soon. Kim and her agency have denied there are any immediate wedding plans.

"Not yet," she said. "I will let you know when we have plans."

Meanwhile Kim thinks it is unfortunate that it's so difficult for actors to have relationships as they work hard and they need the support. Her boyfriend supported her while she was making her current drama.

"We need these relationships to help us get through work and what exhausts us," she said.

Kim previously dated actor Lee Seo Jin. The couple dated for two years before breaking up in 2008.
