On September 13, Namoo Actors released an official statement denying the latest dating rumors surrounding Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin.

As the representative agency for both stars, Namoo Actors responded to the dating claims. In a statement published by Daily Sports, the agency spokesperson reaffirmed prior claims that they are friends in real life, but not lovers.

"They are close," said the spokesperson for Namoo Actors. "It is not only them but the entire team from 'Gunman in Joseon' who are close knit."

Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin previously worked together on the 2014 drama, "Gunman in Joseon." The pair are noted for their chemistry during the production of the critically-acclaimed series.

The on-screen couple became the subjects of renewed speculation following a September 11 event where they were allegedly spotted together. According to reports, the stars were previously spotted on a car date, which is a common practice for Korean entertainers who cannot publically reveal their romance.

According to reports, Lee was spotted affectionately stroking Jeon's face during the car date.

The latest claims follow rumors that surrounded the stars in June and August 2015. Previous dating allegations cited that the actor demonstrated an increased interest in fitness and was spotted exercising with the actress.

Jeon is a former girl-group member who pursued acting after the disbandment of LUV. She followed "Gunman in Joseon" with a cameo appearance in the popular action series, "Healer."

Lee recently completed the MBC supernatural drama, "Scholar Who Walks the Night." He was honored with the Outstanding Korean Actor award at the 10th Seoul International Drama Awards for his performance in "Gunman in Joseon."
