On September 18, Yoon Eun Hye returned to Korea for the first time since she became embroiled in fashion plagiarism allegations, surrounding her designs on a Chinese fashion program.
According to a report published by Dispatch, the actress avoided members of the press and online media, during her travels through Gimpo Airport. She maintained a quick pace and obscured her face.
"I have no comment," said Yoon, when a Dispatch reporter asked if she had a response to recent allegations.
The Korean outlet Asiae published a statement from her agency, which directly responds to her quick trip through the airport and acknowledged that the actress was aware of her fashion plagiarism controversy.
"She does not yet have a schedule in Korea," said a spokesperson for her agency, in the article published by Asiae.
The representative went on to address concerns surrounding her schedule for the Chinese program, which is referred to as "Fashion Goddess" or "Goddess' New Outfit."
"It is hard to reveal the schedule for additional "Fashion Goddess" tapings," said the representative. "But I also know Yoon Eun Hye is aware of the controversy, however, the stance we would reveal in future press releases is the same as it is now. We have no additional plans to announce our stance."
Yoon previously addressed the plagiarisms accusations through a simple statement on her social media.
"Do not use the name of Yoon Eun Hye to promote your brand," said Yoon.
The allegations were sparked on September 5 when Dispatch published an article that compared designs submitted by the actress for "Fashion Goddess," with pieces attributed to Yoon Choon Ho. Yoon Choon Ho delivered a strong response through his social media, further ignited the scandal.
Domestic audiences bolstered the claims against the starlet when they compared other designs that displayed on "Fashion Goddess" to lines from Dolce & Gabbana and BCBG.
Meanwhile, Yoon Eun Hye continued to compete on the Chinese show, which is similar to "Project Runway."
