Representatives for Yoon Eun Hye provided further confirmation that the actress would not be present at the Busan International Film Festival and stated that she would not return for the third season of the Chinese fashion program which led to her recent plagiarism scandal.
According to an article published by the Korean outlet, Daily Sports highlighted the key points of the official statement released by her agency.
"She will not be appearing at the Busan International Film Festival, as previously announced," said a spokesperson for Yoon.
Her management went on to address concerns regarding her upcoming projects but did not issue an apology on behalf of the star.
"For the time being, she is carefully considering activities in Korea and China," said the representative. "She currently doesn't have any plans."
Yoon became embroiled in controversy, following plagiarism allegations regarding several designs that were submitted for the Chinese fashion reality show, "Goddess of Fashion."
The program also known as "Goddess' New Outfit" or "Goddess' New Clothes" features a pan-Asian cast of celebrities who are challenged to create original designs through a format resembling "Project Runway."
Yoon was the lone Korean star to appear on the second season and she experienced continued success with her design submissions, repeatedly beating her competitors. However, she became embroiled in a scandal, following claims that she had directly plagiarized designs by created domestic artist, Yoon Choon Ho.
The situation escalated the designer began questioning the similarities through his social media, prompting Yoon Eun Hye to deliver her own response.
"Do not use the name of Yoon Eun Hye to promote your brand," said Yoon.
Her statement led to a repeated responses from Yoon Choon Ho, prompting the actress to remain silent.
On September 18, she quietly returned to Korea, avoiding conversation with members of the press as the passed through Gimpo Airport.
