In this hit tvN and Netflix series, Oh Jung Se plays the role of a person with intellectual disability. On July 25, his fan and also a cellist Bae Boum Joon got to spend time with him. They met at the Lotte World, a massive recreational complex situated in the heart of Seoul.
Bae Boum Joon saw Oh Jung Se as he played Moon Sang Tae in the drama "It's Okay To Not Be Okay." He was touched when Sang Tae had tantrums during the fan sign meet of Go Moon Young at the bookstore.
Bae Boum Joon's sister took the initiative to contact the actor since his brother wanted to comfort Sang Tae after watching the dramatic scene. To her surprise, Oh Jung Se accepted their invitation and they all met at the said amusement park!
On the day of their meeting, Oh Jung Se arrived and showed up in character as Moon Sang Tae. The actor dressed like Sang Tae and bonded with Bae Boum Joon the way Sang Tae does in the drama.
Bae Boum Joon's sister shared her gratitude and happiness to the actor in her Instagram, saying:
"I am amazed, the whole day Oh Jung Se was with my brother, I was touched. The whole day, Oh Jung Se was Moon Sang Tae the whole time he was with my brother. He ensured to focus on my brother's needs and pay attention to the smallest detail. Oh Jung Se talked and walked like Moon Sang Tae to make sure my brother would believe it. Oh Jung Se must have understood and known about my brother before coming to see him. Though he is busy he made an effort to be with us. Oh Jung Se was kind and considerate, I am speechless."
She added, "I am happy and grateful for what Oh Jung Se did to my brother and understand people with intellectual disabilities. I am happy to know that there are people like him who exist in this world. I am no longer a fan of Moon Sang Tae but a fan of Oh Jung Se."
As the day ended and they parted ways, Oh Jung Se surprised Bae Boum Joon with a green dinosaur doll from the series. More pictures were posted on his account that appeared to be run by Bae's mother. A heartfelt caption said, "If you meet an angel? They're dazzling. Looking at them directly was hard, you may end up crying both before and after you meet them. It was such a memorable time that I'll look at the pictures one by one."
