New year means a new set of the most awaited series scheduled to be released this year. From adaptation to sequel down to original K-dramas, media outlet TV Daily conducted a poll of 36 management companies and participated by 106 individuals as they select which among the upcoming K-dramas in 2023 they can't wait to see on the small screens.
Kim Tae Ri & Oh Jung Se's 'The Demon' Lands as Most Anticipated K-drama in 2023
In a report cited by a media outlet, TV Daily hailed Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se's "The Demon" as the most anticipated K-drama in 2023 after garnering the majority of the votes.
Helmed by Lee Jung Rim of "V.I.P" and penned by the renowned screenwriter Kim Eun Hee of "Signal," "Kingdom" series, and "Jirisan," the upcoming thriller supernatural series will be under SBS.

After months of in talks, Oh Jung Se and Kim Tae Ri officially confirmed their appearance in October and is now headlining the upcoming K-drama.
"The Demon" follows the story of a woman, named Ku San Young, played by Kim Tae Ri, who is possessed by an evil spirit. Working as a part-timer during the day and a student at night, she founds herself caught up in mysterious and chilling death around her.
On the other hand, Yeom Hae Sang, played by Oh Jung Se, gets wind up with Ku San Young. He is a Korean folklore teacher at a university and has the ability to see demons.
In the drama, the two are set to face demons who killed his mother.
Joining Kim Tae Ri and Oh Jung Se in "The Demon" are "The Weak Hero Class" Hong Kyung and Yang Hye Ji from "Nevertheless." Versatile star Jin Seon Kyu will have a special appearance and will be portraying Kim Tae Ri's father.
'Dr. Romantic 3,' Crash Course in Romance,' 'The Agency' Land as Runner Ups
Joining the Most Anticipated K-drama in 2023 is "Dr. Romantic 3" in second place.
Industry people are excited about the return of the hit medical K-drama, starring Han Seok Kyu, who will reprise his role as Teacher Kim or Kim Sa Bu.
The series will feature a mix of new and familiar faces including Lee Sung Kyung, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Shin Young, Lee Hong Nae, and more.
Interestingly, sharing the third place is the rom-com series "Crash Course in Romance," headlined by Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho, and "The Agency," starring Lee Bo Young.
