Actor Song Jae Rim apologized and thanked his fans in what many now consider as his farewell letter he wrote on his fan gallery.
The note — penned in March 2021 — recently came to light after the sad news about his death on November 12, 2024, aged 39.
The message reminds Song's struggles with his reputation and self-awareness as a man.
Citing "mistakes" in his words and actions, he said, "I think there's a lot of people that aren't going to be swayed too easily by just basically saying that was a mistake by an immature kid. I'm sorry."

"I just wanted to say sorry to those who were angry at me and those who were disappointed or are feeling disappointed," he wrote.
"I say I try my best, but there are things that are not easy. I think that's why I couldn't see things clearly. I'm sorry. I will try harder."
Fans are now reeling from his sudden death, and many are looking back on his life and career.
Two suicide notes were found near Song when he was found dead by police at his residence in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
In line with his family's wishes, his funeral was a private one on November 14.
Song Jae-rim, who starred in hit dramas "Flower Boy Ramen Shop" and "The Moon Embracing the Sun," started out as a model before making his acting debut in 2009, paving his way through the acting industry with a diverse portfolio of television and film roles. He was about to have his film Pit-a-dream released when he died.
As fans mourn the loss of Song, many have turned to honor his memory by sharing their favorite Song moments on social media, along with his many posts, including 100 photos he once selected for Instagram shortly before his death.
