Zhang Yaodong, a Malaysian actor, has left The Celebrity Agency, a Mediacorp arm, amid a scandal involving multiple illegitimate children.

A Mediacorp spokesperson said the decision to terminate the contract, effective February 20, was "mutual" as per Koreaboo.
"Zhang Yaodong's contract with Mediacorp has ended. The decision was mutual, and we seek your understanding that we are unable to share further details pertaining to the contract," the spokesperson said.
Zhang, a household name who rose to fame during the 2000s after appearing in the talent show Star Search, has faced backlash since last July when a netizen accused him of deceiving women into providing him company and fathering a number of illegitimate children.
The actor has two daughters, Aakansha and Arshiya, with his ex-wife. He publicly confessed to wishing he had been there for their upbringing.
He posted an image of his daughters—presumed to be teenagers—on social media on November 9, 2024.
But in January, another woman — who reportedly said she was the mother of one of Zhang's alleged love children, a two-year-old- claimed he had 'urged' her to have an abortion and had not been involved in the child's life.
The woman accused Zhang of having more children in other countries, such as Indonesia, China, and Thailand.
Earlier this month, the scandal escalated when, allegedly, audio recordings of Zhang were leaked on the internet. In one of the recordings, a voice believed to be Zhang's asks whether he should 'admit' his two daughters to the public.
For instance, he allegedly bashed the quality of scripts in Singapore entertainment.
However, amid the scandal, Zhang has still not released an official statement either confirming or denying his exit from The Celebrity Agency or addressing the ongoing allegations regarding his private life.
