The Galaxy s5 debuted on the first day of the Mobile World Congress Feb. 24, 2014 in Barcelona. The S5 is not all that different from the S4 apart from the figngerprint ID and not to mention waterproof, dustproof technologies along with hyped up camera specs.
The launch of the new flagship phone brings about a debacle; whether the fifth gen., Galaxy S is worth upgrading to when they run into the end of their contract with network carriers. Since the improvements on the S5 are hazy at best, it may be necessary to go with a different brand altogether.

The CPU speed and performance are about the same for the S4 and S5. Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5 sport a 2GB RAM with 16GB and 32GB expandable memory.
The Samsung S5 camera deserves mention because Samsung has gone a long way to make enhancements.
The Galaxy S5 sports a 16.0-MP and claims to be the world's fastest auto-focus.
As an update for Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS is already underway in Europe, Asia and the U.S., there is little advantage in the Galaxy S5 other than the TouchWiz interface.
