Britney Spears Las Vegas Show May Be Extended Till 2016: The “Baby One More Time” Singer Offered $12-million Extension Deal to Continue ‘Piece of Me’ Show

Britney Spears' Las Vegas show may be extended till 2016. The 32-year old "Baby One More Time" singer has been reportedly offered $12 million to continue the 'Britney Spears: Piece of Me' show through at least Christmas 2016. The shows will now play in October through December and February. Additional shows have also been added in August and September.

The 'Piece of Me,' show runs about 90 minutes inside the 4,600-capacity Axis theater, that has a planetarium-like atmosphere with dance floor, bottle service, traditional seating and private tables. This show began on December 27, 2013, Billboard reports. The Vegas show is directed by Baz Halpin, an award-winning lighting and touring director, who has worked on tours by Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Pink and Swedish House Mafia.

According to an initial deal, Spears was slated to perform 50-shows in 2014 and 2015, but with this extension offered, more than 30 shows have been added to Spears calendar. Britney has reportedly earned $30-million from her two-year residency which began late last year.

The highlights of the Britney Spears Las Vegas show will see the "Toxic" singer perform a 100-minute high-energy dance to cover hits from her 15-year career span. The Las Vegas show is currently in its third leg featuring the world's largest indoor projection screen.

A senior executive with Caesars Entertainment confirmed that the Casino's management wants Britney to extend her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood's Axis Theatre for another 2 years.

Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner was quoted by the Daily Mail UK saying, "'Britney Spears has been a great success for the company and will be extended, if she wants to do it, and I cannot see why not. She has been filling out the place every night, and she is enjoying it and is in good health. She has a good life, coming in on private jet."

Recently released court documents confirm the arrangement between Britney and her father Jamie Spears, who has already been receiving $16,000 as a co-conservator of Britney's estate. Jamie Spears further "holds primary responsibility for all negotiations as regards to key aspects of the Las Vegas Show, global oversight of the Vegas Show production and logistics, making all final production calls on site."

Based on an earlier order from judge, to grant additional pay to Jamie Spears for all the work done on his daughter's Las Vegas show; Jamie will now additionally receive 1.5 percent of the gross revenue from the Las Vegas show and the merchandise with Britney's approval, Daily Mail UK reports.

After a two-month break in June and July, the fourth-leg of the 'Britney Spears: Piece of Me' show will resume from August 16 through September 6, 2014.

Tickets for the Britney Spears Las Vegas show will go on sale from May 16, while those for the first round of performance in August and September have already been sold out.
