Rachel Bilson clarified that “Hart of Dixie” was not cancelled because of her pregnancy. The actress added that she missed playing Zoe Hart since the series failed to get renewal for season 5.
Bilson recently took to her Instagram page to finally end rumors saying that she was the reason for the cancellation. She shared a photo of dressed in her character Zoe Hart.
"Missing the #zoehart #hartofdixie days, especially this outfit and this lady," she captioned the photo.
"Just wanted to clear something up, the cancellation of HOD had nothing to do with me or my pregnancy. I loved my show and loved playing Zoe Hart, thanks to everyone who watched."
According to IB Times, "Hart of Dixie" was cancelled in May after four seasons. It follows the story of a doctor from New York (Bilson) who had to transfer to Alabama to look after her dad's practice.
"The O.C." alum announced that he is expecting her first child with Hayden Christenses early last year. Bilson shared that she has always wanted to have her own family. She added that she has always dreamed of being a mother someday.
"To start a family would be good, any year in the next few years," she told Health magazine, via E! News.
"I've always wanted to be a mom. I have always wanted kids. I can just see this little toddler waddling around the house."
The actress also gushed about her partner, saying that Christenses will be a good father. She said that she sees all the qualities of a good provider in him.
"He's so incredibly supportive and considerate," she told the publication.
"It's so basic-that should be there. Because these things are so much more important when you're older. I've been in my relationship for seven years, so we've grown up together in a way."
"This is my partner, my support, just there for me no matter what. And vice versa."
