Jang Keun Suk Will Perform A Concert For Audiences In Korea

or and solo vocalist, Jang Keun Suk (Jang Geun Suk), is preparing to perform his first concert for audiences in Korea since his 2012 Asia Tour The Cri Show 2 in Seoul.

A report published in the business section of the Korean outlet Newsis outlined the upcoming show. Known as the Prince of Asia, Jang established a strong music fan base in Japan. To support this audience, the actor released several Japanese-language albums including "Let Me Cry" and the 2015 album, "Monochrome."

His success in the region culminated in the 2012 KBS documentary, "The Center of the Korean Wave, I'm Jang Keun Suk," a film which followed the actor as he prepared for his tour and traveled abroad.

Officials for his agency, TreeJ Entertainment, provided a statement about his upcoming show. "Expect Jang Keun Suk's first solo concert in Korea, in three years, to be extraordinary," said a representative for TreeJ.

According to the report, the concert will showcase intricate stage performances and will feature a live band.

Jang debuted as child actor in 1997, before segueing into teen dramas. His breakout role occurred in the 2009 Hallyu hit, "You're Beautiful." In the Hong Sisters' drama, he portrayed Hwang Tak Kyung, the leader of A.N.JELL. His performance in the fictitious band drew attention to his musical skills.

He followed "You're Beautiful," with the role of an indie rocker in "Mary Stays Out All Night," before releasing his first single in 2011.

Jang Keun Suk Live in Seoul will be held at Jangchung Gymnasium on September 5 at 7 p.m. KST.
